Our Church was founded in 1982 by Michael K. Collingwood, a newly ordained pastor from Massillon Baptist College.

Here is a chronological listing of the church’s history.

Pastor Collingwood was called to preach on August 13, 1978

Mr. and Mrs. Collingwood visited Pottstown in April 1982

He Graduated Massillon Baptist College on May 15, 1982

He was ordained on August 24, 1982 by Pastor Art Martin

at Bible Believers Baptist Church, North Canton, Ohio

Mr. and Mrs. Collingwood and family moved to Pottstown

on September 14, 1982

They rented 109 ½ High Street in Pottstown on November 1, 1982

They had the first service on November 21, 1992

They moved Bible Believers Baptist Church

to 871 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown in 1986 

They bought and remodeled the building

at 660 Constitution Avenue, Pottstown in 1990

As of, January 10, 2021, 39 years later, Pastor Collingwood passed away and Kathy Collingwood soon went to live in Ohio.
